Problem Solver, Grand Rapids

Justin Kulesza

I want to make computer systems work for people and organizations to solve problems.

Originally from the Detroit area, I moved to the Grand Rapids area to attend Grand Valley State University, pursuing a degree in Information Systems. I graduated from the GVSU Padnos College of Engineering and Computing and the Meijer Honors College in 2010 with a B.S. in Information Systems and a General Business minor. After graduation, I began my job here at Atomic Object.

I have great interest in and passion for IT operations and system administration with elements of programming; I often bridge the gap between software development and IT operations — practicing the philosophy of DevOps as an operations engineer. My work is wide-ranging, including automation, deployment, disaster recovery, information security, networking, and storage.

Several recent projects have utilized Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Ansible to automatically provision consistent server environments for applications that Atomic builds for clients.

In addition to supporting project teams and customers as an operations engineer, I manage internal IT operations, infrastructure, and some facilities concerns for Atomic.
