Jason Porritt is Atomic Object’s newest Managing Partner in Grand Rapids. He joins Jeff Williams in the role, which is tasked with overseeing sales, team support, client management, and business development for the West Michigan office.

Porritt’s career at Atomic has spanned 14 years, three roles, and more than 25,000 hours consulting on more than 100 client projects. He joined Atomic as a Software Consultant & Developer in 2010 before becoming a Delivery Lead, where he sharpened his skills at product management. In 2022, Porritt became a Principal Consultant & Developer and spent two years shaping projects’ technical foundations.

Porritt says taking on the Managing Partner job is an energizing progression for his career.

“It’s been a really good journey,” he said. “I’m excited about stepping into a role where I can create the environment and opportunities for our teams to do their best work.”

Atomic Object Co-CEO Michael Marsiglia says Porritt’s promotion represents continuing a tradition at Atomic of elevating software experts to lead sales and manage teams.

“He understands the craft, how we build software, the challenges and concerns that come along with that,” he said.

Co-CEO Shawn Crowley says beyond his technical acumen, Porritt’s leadership qualities make him well-suited for the role.

“Jason is hard-working, resilient, and dedicated,” he said. “He has deep connections into the company and strong care for our values.”

Looking ahead, Porritt says he's eager to usher in the next generation of software consulting during a time of technological change.

“The evolving tooling will affect how we do the work; innovations in AI will become accelerators and help us accomplish more in a shorter time for our clients. I’m confident our teams will continue to deliver great value—regardless of the changing landscape. I know we can do that,” he said. “We have a great team.”
