Atomic invests heavily in books, classes, and conferences. Nearly every Atom attends a conference every year, some more.

Beyond that, we all invest our own time in professional development—reading, learning new skills, attending user groups, etc. Atoms plan their own learning, on their own schedule, given their unique life circumstances and career stage.

We also share what we've learned by staying connected—through co-location, company-wide Slack discussions, and at events like our own internal conference, Atomic Con!

The fundamental arrangement of Atoms is a Project Team—short-term groups of makers organized around the products we create. All Atoms work directly with their clients.

We believe that decisions should be made as close to the situation as possible, so Atomic has very little management hierarchy. Shawn Crowley and Mike Marsiglia, lead Atomic as our Co-CEOs. And each office has two Managing Partners who handle day-to-day operations—that's it.

Atoms are very active in the Atomic do-ocracy. Over half of us are owners, our Advisory Board holds regular open meetings, and we discuss each quarter's financial performance at our quarterly company meetings.
