This paper presents a security framework and implementation for addressing a critical challenge in mobile health application development, namely: protecting sensitive patient data from ransomware attacks and unauthorized access. Topics include AES-256 encryption for data confidentiality, SQLCipher for secure database storage, and checksum-based integrity verification for detecting unauthorized modifications. A comparative security analysis conducted across multiple implementation iterations demonstrates that combining strong encryption with integrity checks and secure backup mechanisms significantly enhances data protection in mHealth applications.
