I consider myself a design thinker who is passionate about solving problems through human-centered design. I enjoy empowering those around me by bringing diverse viewpoints together through collaboration. I strive to design products that are desirable, feasible, viable, and meaningful.
Growing up, I loved painting, drawing, sculpting, and generally making things. I was able to put my creativity to use at Columbia College Chicago where I learned to design and code digital experiences in the Interactive Arts & Media program. I even had the chance to work on a team designing a game.
Today, I have over a decade of experience putting my skills to work. During my career, I've had the opportunity to wear many hats: creating design systems for enterprise products, conducting user research, developing front-end interfaces, facilitating design-thinking workshops, and even mentoring other designers entering their careers. There is never a dull moment!
I've continued to build my skills throughout my career by keeping an open mind, seeking learning opportunities, and attending conferences. I have a "Foundations in Design Thinking" Certificate from Ideo and I'm currently working on my UX Certification from Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g). “Stay curious” is my motto.
In my spare time, you can find me hanging out with my husband and our dogs, learning a challenging recipe, playing games, or making pottery on TikTok!
