As far as I can remember, I've always wanted to build. That passion has taken many forms over the years, but it wasn't until college that I realized the opportunity to build that was inherent to software development. I took my first programming course and found out it wasn't normal to do your whole group project in one night. After that, I changed my major to computer science and haven't looked back since.

Once I graduated from Case Western Reserve University, I started my career as a full stack developer. I've worked on all types of projects from legacy modernization efforts to cutting edge web apps, but the projects that have gotten me the most excited all involved diving into complex business problems and finding the simple solutions that were buried at the bottom.

While I do enjoy writing code, I've learned that not every problem has a technical solution. Over the course of my career I've gotten the chance to put on whatever hat was needed to find a solution. From process improvements, to system design I've always found a way to get to the root of the problem and deliver value.

Outside of work you can find me reading, watching movies, gaming, running, spending time outside, or competing at anything where you can keep score.
