My interest in development started back in the late 90s when my family got our first computer. Within a few weeks I had discovered the web browser's "View Source" feature and was enamored with the code I saw. I taught myself HTML, JavaScript and once it became a thing, CSS. After a couple months, I was coding my own Choose Your Adventure-style games in QBASIC and building websites for my friend’s bands.
It wasn’t until a decade later that I started my career in the world of software development. First as a designer at Homes.com and then as a developer at a small Chicago agency. Since then I’ve worked at startups, small agencies and even consulted for the Department of Veterans Affairs, helping to launch their revamped homepage in Spring 2023.
I joined Atomic Object in Summer 2023. I was attracted by the quality of the work they produce, the inviting culture and the top notch talent they had acquired.
When I’m not working I can be found streaming side-project development on Twitch, tweaking my Linux configs, and spending time with my girlfriend and our two cats.
