I've always loved asking questions. My parents have often told the story of me, as a 5-year-old, out for dinner at the local Chili's, spending the entire meal asking them about the ins and outs of college, pelting them with follow-up question after follow-up question, while my fajitas grew cold.
Since then, I've realized curiosity is the key to not only annoying my parents, but also designing complex software products: great software happens when we truly listen to both users and clients and approach problems with genuine inquisitiveness and collaborative energy. Here at Atomic Object, I get to do just that, working as a Software Consultant & Designer.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and after spending time in both mental health research and nonprofit program management, I paired my research skillset and love of people with my passion for website design and creativity, transitioning into software product design.
Throughout my design career, I've had the privilege of working on far-ranging projects across platforms and industries: from augmented reality apps for retail to designing autonomous vehicle interfaces, and even creating an award-winning AI-powered car dealership-negotiator bot. I've also loved being able to give back through my years as a design bootcamp mentor, and volunteering with the GirlsWhoCode Immersion program.
In my spare time, you'll find me attempting to corral my three young daughters and cuddling up with them to watch Bluey, the best show on television.
