From building and testing makeshift boats from packing materials at the hotel pool with my Granddad to creating detailed spreadsheets for my high school sports teams, I found satisfaction in collaborating on iterative improvements before I even knew I'd build a career in software.
At Michigan State, I studied Applied Engineering Science and Computer Science, combining systems thinking with the analytical problem-solving of programming. Once I experienced the satisfaction of creating useful user experiences that solve real-world problems, I was hooked.
As a software engineer, I've turned my curiosity and continuous improvement mindset into experience with human-centered design, agile development practices, and learning new tools quickly. I've worked across a variety of domains including consumer financial services, autonomous vehicle planning, and internal platforms and tools, both on product teams and as an internal consultant.
As a software consultant at Atomic, I'm excited to understand the needs of our clients and their users while working on collaborative teams with people who care about both the quality of the software and the experience of the people using it.
Outside of work, I apply the same "a little better every day" mindset to my multi-year daily running streak, and I enjoy getting out for bike rides and taking trips with my wife and our families.
