I believe that the products we build should empower and uplift the people who use them. In the past decade-plus of my career in software development, I’ve had the pleasure of contributing to the design and development of products supporting education, e-commerce, connected services, and enterprise operations across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. Regardless of what domain I’m working in, human needs and values drive how I approach feature definition, design, and development planning.

In addition to working across many business domains, I’ve worn many hats on software teams. I’ve been an exploratory software tester, systems analyst, and UI designer in addition to my current role as delivery lead. The breadth of my experience makes me a versatile team contributor and knowledgeable leader.

I love working on client projects because it gives me the opportunity to continually learn new things and explore businesses or technology landscapes that are new to me. I am invigorated by the experience of being new or being a beginner in a new domain and feel excited to bring my expertise in engaging whole agile teams in building sustainable collaboration processes that enable a thoughtful approach to planning and building software. I believe that software designed and built by engaged teams with healthy collaboration flows is software that empowers and uplifts.

Outside of my duties with Atomic Object, I enjoy supporting causes that are near to my heart including access to books and information resources at my local library and animal welfare. If I’m not at the library, you can find me untangling yarn from my prodigious craft stash or using my newest favorite household tool, a chainsaw.
