Ever since I can remember, I’ve been surrounded by technology. As a kid, I would post custom graphics and web design templates in online forums. I loved making my ideas come to life and sharing them with the world. Back then, I didn’t have fancy words to describe what I was doing; all I knew was that I was having fun.
When I began my journey into university, I majored in chemical engineering because it was something I’d been good at academically. In my first semester, I learned chemistry wasn’t a passion of mine and that something needed to change. I quickly pivoted into computer science. On the first day of class, I breathed a sigh of relief knowing I would continue to have fun every day.
Before joining Atomic Object, I earned my B.S. in computer science at Oakland University. During that time, I was also a web applications intern at BorgWarner Inc. in Auburn Hills, MI for over 2 years. Here, I worked primarily in C# and leveraged SharePoint to resolve business needs for the company. Over time, my passion for learning propelled me to not only take on more complex projects, but lead them as well.
In addition to my internship, I successfully co-authored and published research in cybersecurity, engaged with students and faculty on-campus as the treasurer of OU’s Gay Straight Alliance, and won 2nd place at OU’s annual hackathon.
Outside of work, I like to spend my time drawing, playing jazz bass, video games, and taking care of my growing number of plants.
