Hi, I’m
.
From a very young age, I've loved tinkering with technology and have always been the go-to tech support person for my family. I've also been a numbers and logic person for as long as I can remember, but for most of my life I didn't know how to apply that to a professional career.
That changed in high school, when I was introduced to basic Python and HTML. It got my gears turning and led me to pursue a degree in Computer Science at Calvin College (now University). It wasn't until my first hackathon at Calvin, though, that I truly fell in love with software development and honing my craft. A few of us built PiggyBank, a virtual piggy bank for kids, and ended up taking first place. That's when I realized I loved making things.
After graduating, I started my career at a software consultancy, where I enjoyed working on a variety of projects with clients across a wide range of industries. From there, I moved to the largest healthcare system in Michigan, where I helped build scalable, real-time systems processing millions of transactions a day.
My favorite thing about software is how it can be used to solve real-world problems, and a close second is the people side of software development. There's no better place for both than Atomic Object. What I love most about working here is the collaboration between developers to craft beautiful software, all while having a little fun along the way.
Outside of work, you can find me outdoors. In the summer that means biking and playing pickleball, and in the frigid Michigan winters it means downhill skiing.
Want to see what Atomic can do?
