I’ve always loved movies. Not just watching them, but diving into the behind-the-scenes details, craving a full view into how they’re made. Eventually, I began creating them myself. When I took my first programming course, I never expected to view coding in such a similar way. I was gaining the ability not just to use software, but to see exactly how it worked; I was hooked. Since then, it has become another creative medium for me. The sense of pride and accomplishment that comes from being able to experience the full process, from brainstorming solutions to sharing the result, carries across both of these endeavors. During my internship at Atomic Object, I found a perfect fit among a passionate team of developers who truly value the possibilities that come from creating custom software.
I returned to Atomic full-time after graduating from the University of Michigan with degrees in Computer Science and Film, Television, & Media. Over the course of my studies, I learned the importance of human-centered design and development, and I am carrying that philosophy into my professional career.
In my free time, I do social media work for environmental nonprofits, apply to (and occasionally compete on) TV game shows, and bake pies.
