The Reflected Best Self Exercise (RBSE) is a research-based leadership development tool that helps participants collect stories from colleagues, friends, and family about moments when they were at their best. The platform aggregates these stories into a private report that fuels reflection, growth, and leadership development.

Application built approximately twice as fast as a traditional development approach.

0 Passwords

Eliminated stored passwords with secure email/SMS OTP authentication.

Support Reduction

Beta cohort generated only one support request, indicating fewer tickets in new system.

Client Outcomes

"It was delightful to work alongside people who were knowledgeable about their craft and could sort out the wheat from the chaff of what these tools are producing. Without smart, talented people, you'd have a disaster on your hands."

Rebuilt RBSE for Speed, Security, and Scalable Impact

EnlivenWork partnered with Atomic Object to rebuild the RBSE platform from the ground up. The previous system, launched in 2016, had grown complex, slowed under modern demands, and raised emerging security concerns.

AI-Forward Development with Structured Guardrails

The team approached development as a deliberate experiment. Rather than prompting AI to “build the app,” they created alignment through a consolidated requirements document, API specifications, service diagrams, and structured artifacts. This guardrail-driven method enabled AI to generate production-quality code while maintaining business and technical constraints.

Knowledge Base–Driven Product Alignment

Meeting transcripts, notes, and evolving requirements were consolidated into an AI-supported knowledge base. This system enabled rapid iteration during research and design, accelerated clickable prototype creation, and ensured that development was grounded in shared understanding between client and team.

Modern, Secure, Full-Stack TypeScript Architecture

RBSE was rebuilt as a full-stack TypeScript monolith using TanStack Start, PostgreSQL, and AWS infrastructure defined as code. The system includes passwordless authentication, idempotent Stripe payment handling, expression-based nudge logic, and privacy boundaries enforced at the type level—improving performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
