I started programming in the early '90s with BBS video game scripts. My passion for computers and technology led me to pursue a master’s degree in computer science from Michigan Technological University. During my time at MTU, I researched computer graphics, visualization, and geometric computing. After graduating, I went to work at Siemens PLM Software to develop their CAD software systems on their freeform modeling team.
I joined Atomic Object’s Ann Arbor office in 2013 as a developer. Since then, I've worked on and led multiple web, mobile, and desktop projects. Through developing at Atomic, I've learned many different programming languages, techniques, and platforms, including Javascript (Ember.js, AngularJS), Ruby on Rails, C# .NET WPF, iOS using Swift/Objective-C, and C++.
In my current role as a Managing Partner alongside Jonah Bailey, I enjoy partnering with clients to understand their business and help make their vision a reality. Ultimately, project success hinges on the team’s ability to understand and skillfully implement that vision—being involved from the beginning is very rewarding.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, cycling, reading, mountain biking, working on my 1970 BSA motorcycle, and playing with my family.
