I thrive at the crossroads of information, people, and experiences to deliver human-centered solutions to software needs. I’m an information architect and data nerd at heart who endeavors to tell stories that bring clarity to complex problems and uncover new opportunities for businesses and their customers.
In her book, How to Make Sense of Any Mess, Abby Covert (one of my favorite industry people) talks about the fact that every thing is complex and contains information and in today’s connected world this is an especially important thing to remember. When we build software with the intent to deliver value for our clients, and the people who will use it, we must understand the information that is involved so we can architect it to serve different needs.
I have experience across the entire process of designing digital experiences, with expertise in strategy and information architecture and special interest in the intersection of digital and physical products. I believe there is often a gap in the process of applying information architecture practices to connected products and emerging technologies.
Beyond design you’ll find me reading, baking, trying to learn the piano and tooling around northern Michigan looking for great places to eat, grab a drink, and just relax.
