I learned to program by accident while working in an accounting office. They were using recorded Excel macros to increase efficiency and, as the resident Excel expert, I was asked to investigate problems with the macros. Turns out, they could be written from scratch in Visual Basic for Applications. I was hooked and, all of a sudden, I was a programmer in an accounting office.
After completing a programming boot camp, I knew I needed to learn more. At the start of the pandemic, I found myself taking classes at Washtenaw Community College before progressing to Eastern Michigan University. I lead tutoring groups and summer camps and during my senior year, I worked as a teacher’s assistant. It has been an incredible journey that has now led me to Atomic Object.
I've been able to extend a passion for hand-crafted items to a passion for hand-crafted software. I’m thrilled to be able to share in the creativity and dedication of my fellow workers at Atomic Object.
