Before joining Atomic as a designer, I was an eFellow at Plymouth Ventures and received a master's degree in entrepreneurship from the University of Michigan. I earned a B.S. in Packaging from Michigan State University. After my time at Michigan State, I worked as the Marketing/Media Manager for REAL Watersports in North Carolina. During that time, I also became an action sports and adventure photographer.
As a member of the Ann Arbor Atomic Object team, I look at design by empathizing with the user, enforcing a cohesive brand message, and looking for ways to create value for our clients. I use design as a form of communication to more effectively share information. I enjoy problem solving with customers to find the right solution to their problems.
I stay involved with the Ann Arbor startup/venture scene by going to the A2newtech meetups. I also enjoy exploring the Great Lakes, taking images of our amazing coastline, and surfing or kiteboarding when the conditions are just right. I document my adventures at www.bryanelkus.com.
