Software Consultant & Developer, Grand Rapids

Andy Peterson

Growing up, I always had an interest in computer and video games. I eventually grew tired of the games I was playing and decided to build a better game myself. I visited the local library and started learning Java, and ever since, I’ve loved building software. In high school, I joined FIRST Robotics on the programming team, where I soon decided that I wanted to build software for a living.

In college, I turned all my open-ended projects into video games whenever possible. Soon, my friends were crowding in my dorm room anxious to play the newest game invented. For me, the joy in programming came from getting other people excited about the project I was working on.

In 2016, I graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor’s of Computer Science degree and began working full-time at Atomic. I am excited to work for a company that allows me to make amazing software for a wide variety of people.

When not working on my latest and greatest software projects, you can usually find me out on the golf course. I also enjoy learning new board games and devising unique strategies for these games. I am very excited to use these same problem solving abilities in my work at Atomic Object.
