I used to think computers were magic. When I was a kid, I knew that computers let you play games like pinball and solitaire, and you could type up things on a word processor, but I had no idea how any of it actually worked. As far as I knew, it was all magic.

But as I entered college, I started taking coding classes, and I slowly discovered that computers weren't magic at all. They were logical machines that executed a series of commands. The magic came from the people who wrote those commands. These people were able to convince a simple computer to do extraordinary things, providing services that could change lives. I decided that my goal was to become one of those magicians.

I earned a B.S. in computer science from Hope College in 2018 and joined Atomic shortly after.

During my time at Hope, I worked as part of a team in partnership with Ready for Life in Holland, Michigan. We developed an iOS application to help teach budgeting techniques to students with learning disabilities.

I also spent a summer interning with Collective Idea in Holland, Michigan, where I learned the basics of consulting work and fell in love with the process of helping bring people's dreams to life.

Outside of work, I like to read, write, listen to podcasts, and play the occasional video game.
