My introduction to programming came in my junior year of high school. I took a course called Visual Basic, thinking that it was a graphic design course. It was actually a C++ course, but despite the mix up, it became one of my favorite classes. To me, there was something so different about programming than any other subject; the lack of one specific solution and the critical thinking required to find those solutions solidified my interest in software.

After high school, I studied at Michigan State University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. My earlier sentiments about software were strengthened during my time there, and I set out on the path to working in my dream career. In addition to my studies, I worked as a systems administrator for a bioinformatics lab, running their servers and developing tools for them to use in research.

I am incredibly excited to work at Atomic Object—I know this is the place for me. The culture at Atomic is unmatched, and the work we do encapsulates my favorite aspects of software development.

Outside of work, I spend my time at the gym, traveling, listening to new music, cooking, and watching (probably too much) Netflix.
