Software Consultant & Designer, Ann Arbor

Bobby Kilpatrick

I am a software designer from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Before starting at Atomic Object, I created GF Overflow, a web startup that helps Celiac and gluten-intolerant people find gluten-free options for everyday products. As a solo entrepreneur, I served as designer, developer, and CEO—an experience that has given me a unique perspective into the many aspects of software creation and the challenges of launching and growing a new business.

I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2007, beginning in the School of Art and Design before transferring to the Ross School of Business to receive my B.B.A. After college, I worked in marketing for Hanesbrands Inc. in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for several years before returning to Ann Arbor in 2010.

Since starting at Atomic's Ann Arbor office in early 2015, I've had the opportunity to work on a number of interesting projects, from helping those with disabilities communicate more effectively to designing a platform that helps schools improve early literacy. The wide variety of software that we work with on a daily basis is what makes being an Atomic Designer both challenging and exciting.

Outside of Atomic Object, I enjoy playing rec sports and watching an unhealthy amount of NBA basketball.
